Professional Services: Concept for the improvement of pedestrian and traffic management in Butterworth Central Business District

The purpose of this tender is to identify and appoint a consultant to scope, plan, design and cost street lights, sidewalks and pedestrian paths in the Butterworth Central Business District. The project aims to improve the safety, aesthetics and functionality of the Butterworth Central Business District.

Proposals are requested from service providers who have experience and qualifications in:
• the design of facilities for managing pedestrian and traffic movement
• street lighting
• planning, design and preparation of construction drawings for sidewalks, pathways, paving and pedestrianized areas

in order to undertake activities that will result in:
(a) a concept plan for lighting, sidewalks and pathways within the Butterworth Central Business District in the Mnquma Local Municipality
(b) construction details for implementation of sidewalks, lighting and pedestrianized areas in the 6-8 busiest blocks of the Central Business District.
